CHALLENGE:
When the LPGA and USGA approached us about creating their mobile app for Girls Golf, we gathered our team and hit the links. This needed to be much more than just a simple golf app. It needed to be a social center for the girls, management tool for the parents and advertising platform for the business sponsors. In fact, this app had 3 separate micro apps that worked together to create the full Girls Golf app experience.
SOLUTION:
The LPGA had already prepared some of the branding guidelines for us. Following these guidelines and many creative meetings later, C7 developed a wireframe that got some smiles from those in charge. This power-house of an app was wrapped in some very girly colors that captured the youthful spark of the players.
The dynamic back-end had many complex integrations which included API’s to various clubs, maps of courses, integrated events calendars, social media, private messaging, shopping and of course… golf training. The “parents app” empowered the parents with the tools they needed to monitor, engage and approve everything required by those caring for minors. This beautifully designed app was an amazing fusion of form and function. It created a wonderful golf experience for the young ladies while never forgetting the social fun and athletic challenge that makes the sport of golf what it is.
