Say Cheese with this “versus’ campaign
CHALLENGE:
The Cheese Puffs brand needed some fresh energy and a connection to the emerging generation of young snack food consumers. Sales were stagnant and the brand hadn’t seen much activity in the social media sphere. Cheese Puffs needed some snack food luvin.
SOLUTION:
We had a lot of fun being cheesy with this campaign for Cheese Puffs. Some customers loved the “cheesy” flavor while others loved the “crunch.” C7 captured this fun energy by crafting a “versus” campaign… Big-Cheez vs. Supa-Crunch. Driven by some witty creative and layered on with a vibrant social media initiative, the Cheese Puff campaign was a delicious hit.
In addition to buzz-worthy engagement within the Cheese Puff social media community, this campaign also gave birth to two entertaining characters.
Big-Cheez and Supa-Crunch became the latest mascot celebs to be featured online, in videos, on billboards, and within aisle displays at grocery and convenience stores. The mascots even came to life with in-person costumed characters at sporting events and festivals. Add on some plush toys as part of online contests and giveaways, and the mascots were on the A-list.
The end result was boosted sales, increased brand engagement, and fresh characters for the next generation of kids (and kids at heart) to connect with the brand.
